Google TV App
Help test Broadcast Atlas on Google TV
The free Broadcast Atlas app for Google TV is in a test on Google Play before it goes public, and we're looking for testers. It takes a few minutes to set up.
Already using the Broadcast Atlas app from our website, the Couch Potato Edition? Keep it. It has every channel; the Google Play version carries the channels Google has reviewed, and installs next to it.
What you need
A TV or streaming box that runs Google TV or Android TV, for example a Chromecast with Google TV, a Google TV Streamer, a TV with Google TV built in, or an NVIDIA Shield. You also need the Google account that TV is signed in to.
It's a TV app: phones and tablets can't install it. Fire TV isn't Google TV; for that, see the Fire TV page.
1. Join the testers group
With that same Google account, open the Broadcast Atlas testers group and choose Join group.
2. Become a tester
Open the tester sign-up page and tap Become a tester.
3. Install it from Google Play
On the TV, open the Play Store and search for Broadcast Atlas. Or, on a phone or computer, open the store listing and choose your TV under Install on.
It can take a few minutes, sometimes a few hours, to show up after step 2.
4. Stay in for at least 14 days
Keep the app installed, open it a few times, and don't leave the test. The test has to run for 14 days before the app can go public.
Feedback
Write to info@broadcastatlas.com. The store listing also lets testers send private feedback.
Leaving the test
The tester sign-up page from step 2 has a Leave the program link.
